Childhood Memories

Do you remember the Mani's and of course the Crans and a summer night when everyone including the Denison's were at the Mani's swinging on ropes hung from the rafters? Of course that didn't include most of the younger Dennison girls ---they were the lucky ones because it was getting a little dark and let's say darker and someone at home "DAD" was getting madder and madder. He was so mad in fact that he had gone out and cut down some willows from the lilac tree. I bet you now know what happened next. He came running down the road with those switches in his hand and terror in his eyes (of course he wasn't sure were his perfect children were so I guess we can forgive him): however he was swinging those switches so hard and furious and with a parent's blindness that I think he missed most of us most of the time-he may have however gotten some of those neighbor boys.
