Lake Leota
Right now, the city of Evansville is trying to decide what to do with Lake Leota, which they drained two years ago, and now has weeds about six feet tall. The original plan was to drain it, remove the silt and refill it. Now people are complaining about the price tag of fixing it (about $1.2 million) on their taxes.
What do you think they should do with it?
Fill it and leave it as it was,
leave it empty,
remove the silt and then fill it?
What are some memories you have of the lake?
Does anyone remember Harry taking his pontoon out on the lake? I think we may have a pic of that. When I find it, I will post it.
