Recipes

Here's a good one. Add your favorite recipe by clicking on "comments" and typing it in. Alice has some really good ones, and sent Kali, who loves to cook, a recipe book with her favorite recipes. Our family favorite, of Aunt Alices, is the Spinach Salad with Brianna's red wine vinagrette, very easy, but ummm so good. I'll post it later. Also, if you have any with family history, please say so, who used to make it, and any special pointers they gave you, like Grandpa Harry's peanut brittle or Grandma Anna's garlic chicken.

Grape Salad

3 pounds green grapes
3 pounds red grapes
8 oz. light or fat free cream cheese
1 Cup light or fat free sour cream
1/2 Cup Splenda
1 teaspoon Vanilla
(For those of you who don't like fat free or Splenda, you can use the real cream cheese, sour cream and sugar) This recipe can also be cut in half or smaller.

Mix cream cheese, sour cream, Splenda, and vanilla together. Toss with grapes.

Topping: 1/2 Cup Splenda Brown Sugar (can also use regular Brown Sugar instead), and 1/2 Cup choped pecans. Mix together.

Mix in with salad, or for those who don't/can't eat nuts, sprinkle over each individaul serving.

This is a wonderful summer dish. It's cool, keeps well, and easy to make....

Enjoy..............Love, Alice
